2005

Polaris was founded as a startup that builds customised CRM solutions for the SME market.

2006

Polaris began to build web applications integrated with accounting and inventory systems.

2007

First publicly listed Malaysian company as our customer. First customer in Singapore using Polaris CRM.

2008

Awarded MSC Malaysia Status in recognition of our continuous R&D efforts.

2010

First UK AIMS Listed customer.

Appointed as a Hornbilll SupportWorks Service Desk partner for Asia Pacific.

2012

First government project in Malaysia.

We successfully delivered the Ministry of Health’s National Diabetes Registry for 6,000 clinics and hospitals nationwide.

2014

Received MDeC ICON3 grant for the TouchSales mobile solution.

2015

We launched TouchSales as a mobile solution for Sales & Promotions Management.

Moved into our own office in the Vertical, Bangsar South.

2016

TouchSales Cloud Solution development began with a pre-launch.

2018

We developed the IT helpdesk system for the Malaysian Road Transport Department.

Ser Chai Seong, Andrew Co-Founder and Managing Consultant (Advisory)
Andrew Ser is the co-founder and Managing Consultant (Advisory) of Polaris Net Sdn. Bhd. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Electrical Electronics with First Class Honors from Universiti Tenaga Nasional, Malaysia. His is the recipient of the Certificate of Excellence in the HSBC Young IT Entrepreneur Awards by HSBC Bank Malaysia and the Intel Scholarship Award by Intel Malaysia.

Andrew’s expertise lies in advisory work for the implementation of solutions, architecture design and user experience development for enterprise software. He has a total of 16 years of experience in these fields.

Among the past engagements include the development and implementation of:
– Service desk software for the Road Transport Department, Malaysia
– Patient registry for the Ministry of Health, Malaysia
– Investor Relations web portal for a leading telco in Malaysia
– Regional CRM solution for a leading chemical distributor in South East Asia
– Debt management solution for a call centre based serving financial institutions and telcos

He has previously given talks in various forums including the Asia Business Forum’s Marketing Performance Management Conference where he spoke on the topic of Technology & Customer Relationship Management and the Federation of Malaysian Manufacturers (FMM) Northern Region ICT Conference where he spoke on Shared Services and Outsourcing (SSO) strategies.

Andrew also serves as a panel member of a government agency to advise and provide industry feedback on the digital tech curriculum and training courses organised by the agency.

At present, Andrew manages the business development initiatives of Polaris Net. He also heads consulting assignments and implementation and delivery for various projects.

Steven Lim
Steven LimCo-Founder and Managing Consultant (Solutions)
Steven Lim is the co-founder and Managing Consultant (Solutions) of Polaris Net Sdn. Bhd. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting & Finance with First Class Honors from the University of Warwick, UK. His academic achievements include the award for the highest scorer in Finance at the University of Warwick by the Association of Corporate Treasurers, UK. He was also the highest scorer in Malaysia for a business subject for Cambridge A-Levels and was given the award by the University of Cambridge Local Examination Syndicate (UCLES).

Steven’s expertise lies in the design, development and implementation of enterprise solutions for businesses in which he has a total of more than 10 years of experience. He has also headed numerous consulting engagements for the implementation of ITIL-compliant service desk software for international organisations based in Malaysia and Singapore.

Among the past engagements managed by Steven include the development of enterprise applications for a public-listed international property services company that is headquartered in the UK and heading the implementation of an IT service desk solution for the largest consumer electronics and furniture retailer in Malaysia.

At present, Steven manages the implementation of projects; from the point of post-engagement to delivery and support. He also manages the Research & Development efforts of the company; where he actively contributes to the software development efforts of the engineers in Polaris Net.
